DBT is widely known for being the gold standard treatment for Border Line Personality Disorder. Though we do not offer full model DBT at CCC, we do lean into DBT skills training- this skill base can be helpful for most individuals with a focus on: mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness and emotion regulation.

SFT is a short-term, goal-focused form of psychotherapy to help individuals and couples identify and clarify the solutions to their difficulties.

MI is a counselling technique that focuses on enhancing the persons motivation to make change. MI focuses on four guiding principles: resisting the “righting reflex”, understanding the motivation for change, listening with empathy and empowerment.

CBT-T is an evidence-based treatment for adults with identified eating disorder presentations including anorexia, atypical anorexia, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder. Treatment is delivered over 10 sessions, first focusing on regulating eating, then shifting to address body image concerns and relapse prevention planning.

WPATH readiness assessments following the WPATH standards of care 8 to discuss your plan to medically transition as a way to further affirm your gender identity. If you qualify, therapist will be able to provide a formal letter, which is required to support medical transition for gender affirming care for individuals whose gender does not align with sex assigned at birth.
