Sacha Curran
MSW, RSW

Hello there and welcome! My name is Sacha Curran, I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker, who holds a Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work both from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador. I have been practicing social work for 12 years and have had the opportunity to work alongside diverse populations across the lifespan. I come with a versatile skills set having worked with individuals, families and groups in a variety of community and health care settings.

I take a teamwork approach to therapy, striving to build therapeutic relationships that are built on honesty, trust and genuine care. I am here to walk with you through the yucky stuff- those uncomfortable thoughts, feelings, memories and sensations. Therapy can offer skills and knowledge to help you manage the struggles that show up in your day to day and are holding you back. As your therapist, I will offer gentle nudging towards the life you want to live.

I offer treatment for a wide array of challenges and diagnosis such as anxiety, negative core beliefs stemming from adverse experiences, PTSD, CPTSD, depression, emotion regulation, grief and loss, coping with a chronic or terminal illness, suicidal ideation and self harm, stress and burnout as well as personality disorders. I offer a multitude of therapeutic modalities based on your needs and presenting challenges. Some of the treatment approaches that I offer include EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills and more.

How do you want to show up to the world? to yourself? The answer may not be all that clear at this moment, but if you choose, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your therapeutic journey as a teammate and a guide. I truly love what I do and find great joy being along for the ride as individual’s gain an understanding of their stuck points, build therapeutic coping skills, reach goals and come out the other side of their tough stuff.
